Column: Hamline should offer students free rides

Why is it that public transportation in the Hamline area isnt at all convenient for the life of a college student? When trying to catch the bus becomes too much of a hassle, what sort of options are left? The bus stops running at 10 p.m. Gas is expensive, so the car is out, and walking isnt quite the quickest option for on-the-go students.

Column: Quick to complain, slower to think

Our universitys budget woes should rank high on the list of all students concerns. Hamline has weathered tight financial times in the past, and can certainly do so again, so the question really isnt if the university will survive, but rather what it will look like once the current fiscal tumult has passed.
