This years freshmen might have noticed something missing from the campus they toured earlier last year. Its not the open frat parties, or the snow they might have encountered while walking around the College Green in February. The iconic bell tower in Sturges Hall, which customarily chimes throughout the day, has not made a sound since the summer.

Amidst all the worry over swine flu, the confusion over vaccines and Tamiflu shortages it would be good to hear from a voice of reason to make sense of all this brouhaha. Well, we rejected such a voice in favor of this shamelessly sensational report. Your News Editor came down with the swine flu and this is the story.

I read Cracked (comedy), Go Fug Yourself (fashion), Cannelle et Vanille (food), Occupation: Girl (film/TV/general hilarity), and Guy Speak (advice), among others, pretty regularly.

Being invited to colour in a photocopied picture of the anatomically correct inside of a vagina from a colouring book is a rather unusual experience. Before you begin, you have to decide what direction you would like to take your masterpiece. Are you going to take the safe route and create a realistic representation of a particular vagina, thus immediately reaching for the red and pink crayons on the table? Or perhaps you are feeling a little more experimental and would like to develop a work with a little more edge? If so, you would most likely reach for numerous crayons of varying colours to create an abstract rainbow vagina.

The Complex Nature of Personality

Any institution with thousands of students is bound to have diverse personalities. Lehigh is no exception. But fully understanding the differences among personalities is not as simple as pointing to A or B type groups or following the assumptions of all-too-compelling stereotypes about the sexes, the colleges or Lehigh in general.

Student launches delivery service to curb milk and cookies cravings

Since the Tyler House dining hall started closing at 8:30 p.m. on weeknights, Smith students have only had the Campus Center Caf&eacute and vending machines to choose from when it comes to late-night dining. The Caf&eacute certainly does its job. Sports teams returning from practice order pizza and Snapple with abandon, and even the most health-conscious among us would have a hard time turning down a dish of Spicy Trax.

A professors life is seldom the subject of discussion in classes, but its always been fodder for speculation among students. Who is this person? How did he or she get from the seat in the room to the podium at the front? In this issues feature, Strand editors Sean MacKay and Chance McAllister speak with popular professors in the Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Toronto: Profs. Ronald Deibert, Mark Kingwell, and Nick Mount. Read on, and learn about working at KFC, meeting Johnny Rotten, and raccoon alter-egos.
