Students protest anti-gay demonstrators on Waverly Avenue

Michelle Deferio arrived on Waverly Avenue outside of Newhouse I around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday wearing a long corduroy skirt and holding a sign that read, "Homosexuality is a sin, Christ can set you free."In response, Chris Pesto, a junior acting major who is gay, made a sign that read "Corduroy skirts are a sin, homosexuals can help you," and stood next to Deferio in protest.

Lisas favorite jump was called "the elevator," because you didnt know exactly how the jump would go, or like an elevator, when you would stop falling.Thats how Crowley lived her life - a lover of adventure, who found thrills in simple places, and took most of lifes leaps with her twin sister by her side.

Syracuse University student found dead in Clarendon Street home

A Syracuse University student was found dead in her home Saturday afternoon, said Sgt. Tom Connellan of the Syracuse Police Department.The student, Lisa Crowley, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have ruled Crowleys death a suicide. Connellan declined to provide further details.

Students will vote to keep student activity fee mandatory

Currently, full-time Morrisville students pay an $80 student activity fee. Part-time students pay based on a percentage of how many credits they take. The campus business office determines the individual charge to each students account. In March, students will vote on whether or not the fee will remain mandatory.
